About me

I’m an early-career professional with a background in Indo-Pacific security, maritime affairs, and international relations. I hold a BA in Global Security Studies from Middlebury College, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a concentration in East Asia and Mandarin Chinese.

I spent a year in college studying abroad at National Taiwan University, where I had the chance to work as an intern for the Democratic Progressive Party (民進黨). This sparked my interest for policy research and the complex relationship between the US, China, and Taiwan.

I later conducted research into North Korean sanctions evasion as an intern with the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, gaining competency in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and qualitative research techniques.

After graduating from Middlebury, I returned to Taiwan for a year as an English teacher, both to improve my Chinese, and to give back to the place and people who taught me so much.

I work in English, Mandarin Chinese, and French, and bring a regional background that is both academic and lived. My long-term goal is a career in maritime law, and I am currently seeking opportunities in the legal field, policy sector, or shipping industry that build toward that path.

I welcome outreach from organizations and individuals working at the intersection of policy, shipping, and law.
